In the heavy truck market, the biggest feature of Qingdao Jiefang
Truck is that it can be equipped with two engines, Jiefang Power
and Weichai Power, so that users can flexibly choose suitable
engines according to local transportation characteristics while
enjoying the quality of Jiefang. The Jiefang JH6 Pilot Edition
National 5 model introduced in this article is equipped with a
Weichai engine.
In order to meet the standard load transportation requirements,
this JH6 pilot version is equipped with a new 13-liter Weichai WP13
engine upgraded to China VI. The maximum power is 430 horsepower
and the maximum torque is 2300N.m. At the same time as the emission
upgrade, the power of the JH6 pilot version has also been upgraded
simultaneously.
The gearbox adopts Fast 12-speed manual gearbox, matched with 435
single-stage reduction axle, the speed ratio is 3.727, and the
front and rear axles all adopt the structure of less leaf springs.
For standard transport with a vehicle weight of 49 tons, the
Jiefang JH6 pilot version can be competent in road conditions such
as plains and mountain roads.
The chassis layout is compact, and the National VI can also have
dual fuel tanks
For cold chain and express users, the timeliness requirements are
high, the number of stops in the middle must be reduced, and the
vehicle fuel tank needs to have a longer battery life.
Due to the large size of the aftertreatment system of the National
5, usually only one 800-liter large fuel tank can be installed on
one side of the National 6 model, and the space on the other side
is reserved for the aftertreatment, the urea system, the battery
and the gas cylinder. The JH6 Pilot Edition has been adjusted in
terms of chassis layout, adding a fuel tank to improve the
vehicle's endurance.
The Jiefang JH6 Pilot Edition draws on the chassis layout of
European trucks. The battery and some gas cylinders are installed
at the rear of the frame, and a fuel tank with a volume of about
250 liters is added on the side by using the space for the battery
and gas cylinder.
